It is collected for the administration of Sunset Series and may also be used to enable the club to contact its members about club business, social and sailing events.Please complete one application for each Cadet member seeking a place in Sunset. For your application to be valid you must ensure that you complete your application fully and accurately including all boat, sail number and insurance details. Please note the completion of this application form does not guarantee you a place in Sunset. This is because we need to assess final numbers against our coaching resources. You will receive an email confirming our receipt of your application. Applications close on 31st March, shortly after this closing date you will receive an email confirming whether your application was successful or not. To start sailing in Sunset Diamond fleet they must be 8 years old by 31 August 2023. If your child is 10 years old or older and looking to start sailing for the first time they will not be able to join our Diamond Beginner Fleet. Your child will need to be able to sail in the higher fleets for their age group and this will mean that they will need to already have attained sufficient competence to sail with that age group. Our ability to accept new joiners who are 10 years or older will also be dependent on our coaching capacity in the relevant fleet. Priority will be given to existing sailors who sailed with us in 2022. The families of all participants are required to assist in some way. Together with this application to enter you will need to volunteer. One responsible participating member adult per child should be volunteering each and every week. Failure to volunteer may lead to your child being excluded from training. All children participating in Sunset Series MUST have at least one responsible adult volunteering at all times (either on the land or on the water). It is a requirement of DSC that all support boats must carry adequate third party insurance at all times. All adults that intend using their craft as support boats must sign the declaration below. I confirm that I carry a valid third party insurance which covers my craft for third party claims (whilst it is being used for support boat duties) for not less than £3,000,000 and that cover will continue throughout the events.Sailors Insurance and Medical InformationIt is a requirement when sailing with Dabchicks Sailing Club that all yachts and dinghies must carry adequate third party insurance at all times. All adult sailors or the cadet's responsible adult must tick to show you have read, understood and accept the limitation liability as laid down. INSURANCE: I confirm that I carry a valid third party insurance which covers me for third party claims whilst sailing/racing for not less than £3,000,000 and that cover will continue throughout the events.
