So what is the “Dabbers Munch”…it’s a progressive Dinner for Dabchicks members

What’s that I hear you say, how does it work?…simply it’s a dinner on the move. 

You’ll all meet up at the Dabchicks for pre-drinks and we’ll let you know whose home you’re going to for your starter, the host for the starter will also provide suitable beverages and be catering for 6 people including themselves. The host will be given an envelope which they open at the end of the course and will let you know where you’re going for your main course… the same then happens at the main course and you’ll find out where you’re going for dessert. At the end of the dessert, everyone then re-unites at the Dabchicks for Cheese and biscuits, port and whatever else takes your fancy… It really is great fun. You’ll be with different couples for each course and you won’t know who you’re going to be with until you knock on the hosts’ door! It really will be a night to remember!

To be part of it you don’t have to be a couple but if you are an individual we will need to pair you up with someone else for the evening. The host homes need to be in West Mersea with Seaview Avenue being the most Easterly road… but if you’re not in that area I’m sure we can arrange that you borrow a home for the evening to cater your designated course.

The best mode of transport is a bike…we don’t recommend driving unless you have a driver

A week before the event we’ll let you know which course you’ll be preparing…a tip here is that it’s best to cook something that needs very little prep on the night as in order to make the night work timing is everything! Each course will have a time limit on it in order that you can travel to the next one.

The event is to raise funds for the major rebuild and refurbishment of the upstairs toilets. The cost to be part of this night to remember is £12 per person to include a pre-drink, cheese, biscuits and port.
