Description
This fantastic dinghy was bought primarily from substantial donations received by the Club. One anonymously and one from the family of Tony Brown, who tragically died from Covid-19 at the end of March 2020. Tony had been a member of DSC for many years but only moved to the Island in March 2019 with his wife, Rosie, to enjoy his retirement and his sailing. Sadly this was not to be.
When you hire this lovely Laser 2k have fun and know that Tony would love it to be sailed and enjoyed to the full, as well as carefully looked after!
Tony was Dinghy Captain at the time of his death, an enthusiastic helper at the Sunset Series on Wednesdays and had been very vocal about how useful a Laser 2k would be as a training boat for juniors, so it seemed only fitting that the club should buy this boat in his memory and name it Tony Brown.
